Melody's Open Heart Surgery Fund

Melody Rose will be 3  years old in a few weeks and was born with a heart defect called an aortic arch anomaly. Originally we were told that she would have to get this heart surgery immediately after birth, but as time progressed the doctors felt confident they could push the surgery off until later in life. Unfortunately this year they decided they couldn't push the surgery off any longer. The doctors said she needs to get this surgery done the beginning of January. Melody is a very funny, sassy and independent little girl who is wicked tough. We know that she will be extremely strong through this entire process. Any and all help with this surgery will be greatly appreciated and we know we wouldn't be able to go through this without the love and support from our family and friends. Our health insurance will be able to pay for most of the cost for the surgery, but we will have to cover the rest. We will be going to the children's hospital in Vegas for the surgery and have to stay at the hospital for about a week for her recovery in the cardiac ICU before we can bring her back home. We will also have to take a few weeks off of work to help her with her recovery. The funds we raise will help us to pay for whatever our insurance does not cover as well as helping her father and I to stay home for a few weeks to help her through this process. Sadly we won't know the total amount of costs until after the surgery. In case there are any complications or unforeseen circumstances arise.
