MELODY NEEDS EMERGENCY SURGERY TO AMPUTATE HER LEG
Donation protected
UPDATE I am literally blown away by your kindness and support. Melody is booked in for surgery first thing tomorrow. All being well, our little Tripod will be home tomorrow evening getting more love than you can imagine. I honestly cannot thank those of you that have donated enough. My baby girl gets to keep her baby girl and I cannot tell you what that means.
Ive adjusted the total slightly because i wasnt aware of fees and J hadnt considered the emergency treatment I needed to pay for today.
I would like to pay back the kindness we have been shown and have a few ideas which I will keep you posted on. Thank you xxx
Hi, please know firstly that it is extremely hard for us as a family to ask for help.
Melody isn't just a cat, she's my daughter Jazmin's best friend, her shadow and her support animal. They are inseparable and being autistic, Jaz relies on Melody more than I can even explain.
Last evening we heard dog barking followed by the most gut wrenching cat scream from outside. Jaz went to find Melody who had scaled the brick wall to get into the upstairs window. What she discovered was truly horrific and I will never forget the noises my daughter made. Melody was bitten by a dog, bleeding badly with her bone exposed out of her skin.
Our little warrior needs emergency surgery to amputate her rear leg as soon as possible as the leg is no longer functioning and she has a very nasty open wound. Our beautiful bengal cross girl is on her 2nd life already as she was so unwell as a baby that we had to hand rear her against the vets advice of putting her to sleep.
Our vets have been incredible reducing the cost of the surgery as much as they can and we have paid what we can but need to raise more before they can operate.
- We are responsible pet owners. We even had insurance up until three months ago but the break down in a 18 year relationship, loss of earnings and being forced to claim disability benefits for the first time ever have all impacted our lives.
Please only give if you can afford to do so. Every llittle will help and we will be eternally grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
