Melody Maria Perry Memorial

I am reaching out in support to help with the hardships and expenses of my best friend’s family in their time of need. She leaves behind a loving husband, three amazing sons, and two wonderful stepdaughters.

Melody was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved to make people laugh and always went out of her way to make sure everyone was happy. She touched so many hearts through her kindness and thoughtfulness as she constantly put others before herself.

Approximately 2 years ago, Melody was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She fought incredibly hard every day to spend as much time as she possibly could with her family and friends. Throughout her battle, she frequented hospitals, underwent multiple surgeries, and faced many struggles along the way with her husband and family by her side.

On several occasions, Melody's husband had to take extended amounts of time off work to help care for her and again now with her passing. This has taken a huge financial toll on them with lost wages, travel, medical expenses, child care and other costs adding up to over $200,000 over the past 2 years. This is compounded by the fact that Melody had no life insurance due to being ineligible from pre-existing health issues.

These funds would help with upcoming expenses for her funeral, childcare for her youngest son, and general living costs allowing her husband and children to take the time needed to heal and move forward before going back to work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
