Melody Luecke family Help Fund

On July 23rd, Melody Luecke and her husband, Doug, left Indiana driving their beloved motorcycle to Florida to visit an ailing family member. They had a beautiful trip down there and grateful to have spent time with her uncle. Sunday, Aug 2nd, they departed bright and early (8 am) heading back home, but little did they know that at 10:30 am they would be caught up in a police chase on the highway. The person driving the chased car was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit them from behind. Mel and Doug's world was turned upside down. Doug was airlifted and Mel taken by ambulance to Tampa General. They are both in ICU now with multiple injuries. To name a few, Doug has a broken back and wrists. Mel has a broken right arm and fractures in the left, broken ribs and a collapsed lung. They both have underwent surgeries to try to repair this brokenness. Mel and Doug do not know how long this recovery will take.
