Help MELODEE win her battle against Breast Cancer

This is my Sister, Melodee (MEL to all of her friends) - well known to some for her work in film music, having curated soundtracks for culturally iconic films spanning decades, and more recently launching a boutique clearance company for music rights in film, on stage, and video games; know to others as Mom to my beautiful niece, softball phenomenon Kai Olivia, age 16.

MEL is my Big Sis, and I am asking for help on her behalf. What most have not known is that earlier this year, MEL was diagnosed with HER2 Positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma -- otherwise known as breast cancer. This life-changing diagnosis has upended life for Melodee and Kai in a myriad of untold ways:

MEL has been been receiving chemotherapy every 3 weeks since July. At the end of the year, she will have surgery, and will potentially have to undergo radiation in addition to immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks for the next year to continue to stave of the spread of the cancer which is currently localized to just one breast and one lymph node.

As a single working mom and sole caregiver to Kai, this diagnosis has devastated my sister's finances. An extremely private person, Melodee has tried to maintain her household while juggling treatments and mounting insurance deductibles; but as costs continue to pile up, she needs help.

We are looking to raise $100,000 to assist Melodee with medical and living expenses while she continues to fight breast cancer. Any and all contributions are sincerely appreciated.
