Melinda – one of our best friends and a truly amazing human being – was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is only 39 years old. The last couple of months have been full of tests, visits with multiple doctors and tough decisions. Through this process it’s become clear that Melinda is going to need tremendous emotional support but also financial resources to cover the gap between what medical insurance covers and the true, full cost of the care and support she needs.

We are starting this campaign in hopes that Melinda’s friends and family far and wide – and friends-of-friends sympathetic to the challenges ahead – will pitch in and donate.  The next year of treatments and surgeries will be a challenging time and we are committed to reducing any unnecessary stress for Melinda.
