Melly’s Brain Surgery

Hey guys,

 

As some of you may know, not all, it has been discovered that I have a rare condition called Chiari Type 1 Malformation. It is something that I was apparently born with, but when I injured my shoulder it jarred things and made symptoms worsen to the point of investigating with MRIs.

There is significant cranial pressure and the surgeon wants to conduct surgery as soon as possible. There is also worry or paralysis, major spinal fluid leak, and other things if I don’t have this surgery soon. 

I have been out of work with my injury and this for almost 5 months. Financially, we are not doing so well.

My insurance will pay 80% of the surgery but I am responsible for the remaining 20%.

I am asking for your help, I’m not even sure that 10,000 is reachable, or even enough for this. I just had no other options but to try this also. The girls and I appreciate you all. My 14, and 10 year old, daughters are extremely anxious about this as much if not more than I am. 

This is terrifying, but exciting to think this could change my quality of life.
