Hi Everyone, as many of you know my Grandad, Ron Green, my horse friends know him at horse shows he comes to every single one and always brings food and opens his cooler for anyone that passes by that may need a drink or food. Many of you know him at the local schools he visits many times and always says hi to the kids. He will offer anyone into his home for a hot meal or anything they may need. He would never ask for help but right now he needs help. His dog Mellie needs $10,000 worth of surgery, and I know many of you are thinking it’s just a dog, but dogs help us get through life and are our best friends. A couple months ago, I saw Mellie on a facebook ad looking for a good home. I sent it to my grandad and he was open to go see the dogs. When we got there, it was a little cabin that was very off the grid and took us a while to get to. Great Danes are known for having sensitive stomachs and need surgery to help which we knew and were fine with paying for. But what we didn’t know was that she had bilateral OCD in her shoulders which is short for, she either needs surgery on both shoulders or we have to put her down. My grandad is 82 years old and loves this dog. This will be his last dog and he shouldn’t have to loose her when she isn’t even a year old. Not to mention, he used to have a Great Dane named Boomer but he passed away. I will be holding a bake sale at Bayside Shop n Save Milbridge on Thursday April 17th 10:00am-2:00pm to raise money for the surgery.
