Melissa's Urgent Cancer Treatment Fund

With all my humbleness set aside; I find myself in a predicament. My parents raised me to be self sufficient, self confident, and emotionless in public. In June of 2021 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As of November 2024 I was able to say I was 2 1/2 years cancer free! Now the cancer has moved to my vaginal wall. The facility that I need to get my treatment from is 119 miles away from home! My treatment plan is 3 weeks twice a day! It is physically impossible for me to commute daily! I have called the American Cancer Society already and at this time they have no vouchers for lodging. I can get a 45% discount on a room rate! I have applied for a gas grant and a food grant. I am short about $1,500 just for housing. I’m estimating I’ll need about $2,500 total for all my daily expenses! My medical expenses are 100% covered! There is some good news! I’m trying to sell some heirlooms on both PoshMark and Facebook. I don’t like asking for handouts! I’m truly embarrassed that I’m asking for help. . For those who have known me for most of my life, I’ve always been the one to step up and help others. Now I can’t even help myself. Eternally grateful for anything you can spare. Humbly Melissa Light
