If you know Melissa, you know how much she means to the people around her. She has always been someone I can count on, and she has a way of making others feel cared for and supported. But more than anything, Melissa is an incredible mom. Her kids are her whole world, and anyone who knows her has seen the love, dedication, and sacrifices she makes for them every single day. She celebrates every accomplishment, helps them through every challenge, and always puts their needs before her own. Watching her as a mother has been inspiring, and I know she will face this challenge with the same strength and determination she brings to everything she does for her family. Recently, Melissa received the life-changing news that she has breast cancer. In the coming weeks, she will begin treatment at MD Anderson and start a journey that no one ever expects to face. When I heard the news, I was heartbroken. Melissa has always been the person helping others, offering encouragement, and showing up when people need her. It’s hard to imagine her being the one who now needs that support, but she does. As she focuses on treatment and healing, there will be medical expenses, travel costs, time away from work, and so many unexpected challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. Through it all, her children remain her biggest motivation. She wants to be there for every milestone, every laugh, every hug, and every memory still to come. I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of easing some of the financial stress so she can focus on her health, her recovery, and her family. If you feel led to give, thank you. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Melissa in your thoughts and prayers would mean so much. Melissa, we love you, we’re here for you, and you don’t have to go through this alone.
