Hi, I am Melissa. Over the past several years, I have been diagnosed with numerous diseases and illnesses that have left me unable to work a regular job. One of my illnesses is called Sjogren's Syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease that has basically destroyed my ability to create saliva, among other things. Lack of saliva causes serious dental issues. The long list of medications contribute to Dental deterioration as well. I have already lost 8 teeth, 4 have had pieces just fall off in the last month alone. And the dentist has informed me that all 4 of my top front teeth are loose. I am in constant pain! I have gone from a beautiful smile to being totally embarrassed to even go out where people can see. The pain is bad, but the embarrassment is immense. After trying desperately to control the tooth loss, I have given up. Four dentists have agreed that regular dentures are not an option as I would end up with ulcers and infections (which my body can't fight off well). I need implants or at least implant-supported dentures. I have burdened my husband so much with medical bills and medication expenses. There is no possible way for us to afford these options. I want these remaining teeth removed so badly! Pain is an everyday thing and limited to certain foods. I'll accept any and all help I can get.
