Melissa’s FIGHT against Cancer

As some of you may already know, my Sister, Melissa who is a single Mother of three beautiful girls, was officially diagnosed with Cancer in November 2023.

If you know Melissa, then you know that she is one of the hardest working, kindest women who would do ANYTHING for ANYONE, if ever needed! She is the BEST Sister. She is the most loving Mother, who has been raising and providing for three beautiful Daughters, who are a direct reflection of Melissa’s strength, grace and resilience; despite all that she has endured even prior to her stage 4 diagnosis!

After almost 2 years of living with daily excruciating pain, many other symptoms, tests, biopsies, scans…and being misdiagnosed, she switched Doctors and was immediately referred to an Oncologist at Baystate…which FINALLY lead to her diagnosis of Stage 4 CANCER!

Melissa began Chemotherapy on February 1st, 2024. She is still currently going through Chemo…and now, Radiation too…with several upcoming surgical procedures, and the five times per week traveling back and forth to Baystate as well!!

It has been pure hell for her and her girls! No child should have to watch their Mother and only parent be so sick, depressed, lose her hair and to have to help take care of her…and all of the other things that Cancer is robbing this family of, to say the least!!
