I am reaching out on behalf of my friend, my sister, my family...
There is nothing like being awakened out of a deep sleep to be rushed out of a burning home. No time to get dressed. No time to grab anything. The only thought was to get up and get out. Early this morning Melissa and her family experienced just that. A fire broke out while everyone slept and luckily, they all made it out of the house safely. While that in itself is a blessing and things can be replaced, there is a long road of recovery that lies ahead.
Currently, the family is displaced. Between staying at hotels, friends’ homes, and trying to rebuild they will need not only prayers but any assistance that can be given. The family has lived in this home for many, many years and they have lost everything. Some things can never be replaced, but with everyone’s help we can set them back on the road to rebuilding. They have a need for everything… clothes, shoes, coats, school supplies. Think about the kids and all that they have lost. Anything you can think of is needed to start over.
Melissa is one of the most hard-working women I know. She is a fighter. And will give you the shirt off of her back to help someone in need. Right now, in this moment it is her and her family that need our shirts, lets come together and begin the process of making them whole again.
