Melissa’s Cancer Fundraiser

Back in July, I had a regular checkup CT scan of my chest that showed a small nodule in my lung.  Doctors reassured us that it could just be something I inhaled and was being filtered out.  But, my follow up CT scan a few weeks ago showed the nodule had doubled in size in just 8 short weeks.  The cancer had made it’s way back and into my lung.  So, now I am going to see a thoracic surgeon and schedule surgery shortly after to have a wedge resection done on that part of my lung.  If it is the same type of cancer I had before, Synovial Sarcoma, I shouldn’t need chemotherapy .  We are fundraising money for rent, utilities, and bills as well as the expensive medical bills since I will be out of work for a while, Adrian will be out of work for a while to help care for me, and we are not sure yet how much my insurance will cover for the surgery/anesthesia.  Whatever you are able or willing to donate will help tremendously, and if you are unable to donate, please take a moment to pray this cancer never comes back!
