I am so excited to share with everyone that I am going to make my first visit back to Africa in 6 years! Many of you know that I spent several years involved with Iris Ministries, the ministry started by Rolland and Heidi Baker in Mozambique. I was blessed to be trained by the Bakers and to serve as staff with them in Pemba, Mozambique for 3 years. I poured my heart and soul into my work with the people there and they will forever have a piece of my heart. Will you help me get back to this nation for a month-long trip this October?
I will be returning to visit the two largest Iris bases in Mozambique, which are centers for orphaned and abandoned children with many different aspects of ministry. I am thrilled to be bringing with me two friends from Wisconsin and I know they will be changed forever just as I was! We will simply be available for God to use as He sees fit, whether that is holding a child, visiting a mud hut, praying for people and ministering on outreaches, or simply praying and seeking His face. Most of all, I am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends, the children and the leaders that I so poured into while I was there. I am raising $4,000 to cover my travel and expenses. My first goal is to raise $2,300 on or before June 1st to purchase my first plane tickets.
