Help after car accident

Friends and Family,

I'm starting this campaign because, as some of you may know, I was recently in a car accident. Those of you who know me, know that I am not one to ask for anything from anyone, especially money. I'm stubborn and overly prideful and it is very hard for me to admit that I need your help, but I do, my family does.

Let me start out by telling you exactly what happened that night...
It was raining heavily and I was on my way to yoga class. I was driving under the speed limit and being extremely careful, as we have had so many issues with our car in the past few months. Suddenly I felt the back tires loose grip with the road, the back of my car started to fishtail, it spun around and crashed head on into the concrete side rail. My air bags deployed and the car was facing the opposite direction of traffic when it was all over. The first thing I noticed was that my hand was certainly broken. Some very nice and helpful people saw the accident stopped to help me, for them I am beyond grateful. I was able to get out of the car, and except for my hand I only had a few scrapes and bruises. 

Even though I was very lucky and only hurt my hand, I need both hands to do my job. I will not be able to bartend now for three weeks due to a fractured phalanx, and thumb. This money is partially to compensate what we will need to pay for the accident, the car, and my medical bills. The rest is to help pay our rent, utilities, and other bills, which include care for Huxley, that I will not be able to pay now that I cannot work as I normally would. 

So instead of Christmas presents this year, please help us with this. It is more important to me than anything to be able to support my family and make sure Huxley is taken care of.
