This is Brent Whiteley, Melissa's husband. This is one of the most difficult things to do for me, which is to ask for help, but my family, with Melissa's passing, is truly in need of any small financial assistance anyone can give.

Melissa passed Saturday, November 8th, 2025, but passed away after a valiant six-hour fight. Melissa battled thyroid cancer two years ago and WON! However, this past year, with advancing upper respiratory problems, she had to remain on oxygen daily to function. She fought to the very end. Even though she was not awake, her eyes twitched and tears filled her eyes when she heard me say that Brent Jr. and I were by her side. I take great comfort in knowing she heard my voice as I told Melissa I loved her, and her tears told me the same one last time.
