Melissa Hunt and Brooklyn's New Home
Donation protected
Melissa started working for me part-time over a year ago as a trivia host. She has endeared herself to the players and employees of the locations she works at and has been a great and dependable host!
Melissa is a paraplegic (wheelchair-bound). She has an adorable daughter named Brooklyn who is 9 years old. Melissa has partial custody of Brooklyn. Brooklyn can be seen at many DJ Trivia events helping her mom (most of the time...she is still a 9-year-old, LOL).
Melissa gets aid from the government every month and works two part-time jobs. She lives in an apartment.
Until recently Melissa was receiving funds from a Trust set up for her. Those funds have run out. Additionally, the rent at her apartment is going up. The lease of the apartment was in a relative's name (who was the executor of the Trust Fund) so Melissa has no rental history or credit history in her name which makes it difficult...actually, impossible for her to get into another apartment.
She needs to be out of her apartment by July 17th, 2023 at the latest. As of now, she has no place to go.
The goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to purchase a mobile home outright so her monthly income can pay the lot fees and utilities. My wife and I are willing to cosign or do whatever to help her secure a place. I have located a trailer home that is in great shape and is affordable and wheelchair accessible in the Moundsview area. We need to move fast on this. Any help would be so appreciated! My wife and I will start the fundraiser with our donation. Please help Melissa and Brooklyn!
