Melissa Hayworth Breast Cancer Fund

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 17, 2019, and it was determined that is was a Stage 3B. Currently, My mom has a very long road of treatment ahead of her. First, she has to do 16 weeks of chemo which will come to end around the end of May 2020. Then, she will have to undergo a radical mastectomy with reconstruction at the same time. This whole surgery will leave her out of work for at least 6-8 weeks. After surgery, she then must complete 6-7 weeks of radiation followed by another surgery to remove her ovaries and do a full hysterectomy. This surgery will also result in her being out of work for several weeks. After this, she must do a hormone blocker five years to help prevent the cancer from coming back. While going through all of this she still has to continue to work full-time because the medical bills are extremely high plus she has my little brother(2) and sister(4) to raise as well. She is really unsure what will happen when she is out of work due to the treatment because she just started this job two weeks before the diagnosis. If you know my mom personally, you know that she is one of the nicest and most caring people you can ever meet. She would literally give the shirt off of her back for each and every one of her friends. She is also a fighter but sometimes even the best fighters need support. I am currently a freshman at Texas Tech so I am trying to do everything in my power to help her get through this. My mom has done so much for me growing up and its only right that I do whatever I can to help her any way that I can. Any donations will be greatly appreciate and would mean the world to me. All donations will go towards any bills or financial needs of the family as well as my little siblings. I hate asking for help but right now, my mom needs it the most.
