Please help us rally around a local Cape May County mom as she battles Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Due to her diagnosis, Melissa Sandhoff was forced to retire from her 30-year career as a nail technician and educator in 2021. Since then, she has been cared for by her husband of 29 years, Patrick, and their two daughters, Samantha and Hope. The family feels fortunate to be surrounded by the support of family, friends, and their church community, and they have handled the heavy impact of this disease with grace and gratitude. Their home has been made handicapped accessible, and a home health aide has been hired to assist with daily living.
The one challenge that remains is transportation. Because she is dependent upon her wheelchair for mobility, Melissa has to take public transportation to get to her appointments, testing, and hospital visits. This does not allow her to leave the house at a moment's notice. The family would love to purchase a van so that they are able to drive Melissa to her appointments. This van will give Melissa the ability to leave the house and enjoy some independence once again.
Please help us help the Sandhoff family. Any donation is appreciated.
