In May 2025, we lost our mum, Melissa, far too soon. While her passing was not related to heart disease, she was a woman with a huge heart in every sense, kind, determined and endlessly generous with her time and energy.

One cause especially close to Mum’s heart was the British Heart Foundation. Over the years, she climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks multiple times to raise money for the charity, taking on the challenge not for recognition, but because she believed in helping others.

As the one-year anniversary of losing her approaches on 21st May 2026, we wanted to do something meaningful in her honour. So Dylan and I, alongside some of our family and close friends, will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on 23rd May 2026, following in her footsteps and raising money for the British Heart Foundation, just as she did.

We hope to raise £5,500, £100 for every year of Mum’s short life, as a way of honouring her generosity and her spirit.

This climb is our way of remembering Mum, celebrating her strength and continuing a legacy of kindness and determination that meant so much to her. Every donation, no matter how small, will help fund vital research, education and support through the British Heart Foundation.
