Melissa Ewing, the spunky, bubbly friend to many of us,  the 42-year-old mother of Ethan and Maddox, and wife of Jeff, is literally fighting for her life at the Emory Medical Hospital in Atlanta GA.

Melissa was admitted to the hospital in Maryville on Wednesday, March 22 with complications related to the flu.

Her condition quickly deteriorated and she was flown to Emory Medical Hospital the same night for treatment for a vicious bacterial infection in her blood stream.
Melissa is currently in a coma, on life support, and the doctors are aggressively treating her condition. 
Family and Friends are staying positive and praying for her recovery.

When she recovers, the aggressive treatment that the doctors had to pursue will change how she lives her life. 

Friends of Melissa are trying to raise $100,000 to support her and her family in those changes.
