Melissa Doherty

I am deeply saddened and in complete shock that i am having to write this post, but our Family needs your support. My sister, Melissa, was diagnosed last year with early stage Breast cancer and it has spread to the point where she is now on hospice care. 

I am trying to assist them by submitting this post.  Avalon is the 8 year old daughter of Paul and Melissa.  Not only has her life been changed, but Paul is also trying to remain strong with a significant amount of new responsibilities.  We take for granted what our spouse does for us and it is only in times like this we realize we do not know how to do things like access accounts online, etc.  

Paul is now going to be the sole person to support himself and Avalon.  There will now be child care expenses that were never a consideration before.  I am creating this post in hopes of getting a little relief for this family.  Paul and Melissa have been married for nearly 25 years. He is native to Ireland and he doesn't have immediate family members here in America for support. He does have my brother and I to help out on occasion with child care needs. Needless to say Paul is in a lot of stress and his world has been changed.  What little savings they did have has been utilized for medical copays and medication and medical devices that were necessary to make Melissa comfortable.
