Our names are Melissa and Jessalyn we are female boxing competitors from Prince George BC.

a little about each of us

Melissa has been boxing since fall 2016, melissa is a single mom raising two little boys on her own. Melissa has fought competitively in BC for 8 years now. She won the female bronze gloves in fall 2021 and was able to fight a total of 5 times in 2023 alone. Melissa is now an open boxer in Canada. She has never traveled out of Canada before and this will be the most incredible opportunity for her.

Jessalyn started boxing when she was 17 to help her get in shape, have an outlet to deal with things, and gain some self-confidence. Boxing was extremely difficult for Jessalyn, but despite that, she quickly fell in love with the sport. Jessalyn is now a university student in the final year of her bachelor of health sciences degree. Jessalyn is looking forward to an opportunity to challenge herself, working hard towards her first fight in Mexico, showing that anyone who wants to box can do it.

we have both been given the opportunity to fight at an all female boxing competition in Mexico this January and are hoping to raise enough funds to pay off our flights for the trip and help with expenses. The flights being a total of 1275$ each.

this is an opportunity that neither of us have ever had the chance to do and we are training and focusing so much to have the best results there.

when we go there will be the chance to train with multiple groups from all over the world and each of us will be given the chance to compete against at least two other opponents over the course of our trip.

as a full time working single mother and a full time working student this is not in either of our budgets to go on our own financial grounds so any bit of help will be immensely appreciated ❤️
