Hi, my name is Reagann. This is Missy and Bill Ridihalgh, and I am here seeking financial support and assistance on their behalf. Missy, and Bill have been members of this community for several years and have served for our country and in our community. Bill, honorably served 23 years in the U.S Army defending our country and is now a retired disabled veteran. Missy, served in our community as a para-educator in the Tonganoxie USD 464 district for nearly 14 years before the couple departed and lived in Louisiana for a few years.

Over the summer, Missy and Bill moved back to Tonganoxie to live out their retired lives and enjoy the hometown they have always loved.

7 months ago, Missy began to develop symptoms of stomach pain, fatigue, nausea, and ultimately not feeling herself. About a month ago, there was imaging done that revealed lesions on her liver, and a tumor on the lining of her stomach. With this unexpected and devastating news, the retired couple began the process of diagnosing her symptoms and got the unfortunate news that this was potentially stomach cancer (GST) and that it had migrated. After biopsies, and scopes they have also found a suspect area in her esophagus and additionally internally in the intestines.

With receiving this life altering diagnosis, I am here on their behalf seeking help of strangers, friends, and members of this community with relieving the financial burden off of their shoulders. As stated before, Bill and Missy both are retired, and disabled due to his military service. Their insurance is only covering a portion of the cost of all procedures, appointments and medications associated with this. We are also starting the process of getting Missy qualified for state/federal disability, but it is a process and it requires time that we unfortunately may not have much of. At this time, due to being on a fixed income this has overwhelmed them and we are reaching out for help.
