Many from the small towns of Minden and Haliburton Ontario know Melissa and Mike Anderson.
Earlier this week, Melissa suffered a sudden stroke at 43 years of age. Melissa is currently hospitalized in Toronto and has just undergone an operation to keep her brain swelling under control.
Melissa’s husband Mike has been constantly at her side. He has found strength in their 9 year old daughter throughout this difficult time.
Melissa is a determined young woman, a faithful friend, and a terrific wife and mother. She will, however, have a very long road of recovery and rehabilitation.
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign in hopes to alleviate some of the tremendous costs the Anderson’s will incur. As Melissa is currently in Toronto, Mike has had hours of constant travel as he tries to be at his wife’s side and look after their young daughter. As Melissa’s recovery progresses, costs will escalate. Increased travel expenses, food, and accommodation are just some of the financial obligations that Melissa and Mike will face. The costs of long term medical services, equipment, and rehabilitation will also be difficult due to the loss and reduction of two full-time incomes.
We are reaching out to anyone who would be willing to donate and help our good friends Melissa and Mike. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
