My name is Staci Johnson Knight, I have started this GoFundMe campaign to assist the family of Melinda Stephens with memorial expenses.
Melinda Jean Stephens nee Rainey, March 31, 1972- August 2021. While there are many questions surrounding Melinda's untimely death, at this time we choose to focus less on the answers we seek and more on the life that was lived between the dates of her birth and death. Melinda was a daughter, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver. Melinda's mother has the unbearable burden of saying goodbye to her only child, who at 49-years-old was in the prime of her life. Without doubt, the greatest accomplishments in Melinda's life are her two amazing children, Casey and Caden. Melinda instilled in them kind hearts, inquisitive minds, and gentle souls. Her two young grandchildren knew their Gammy's love for a short time, but will forever be told of how her eyes sparkled each time she spoke of them. Those of us who were fortunate to be called friends by Melinda know that we were loved by her and will forever share an unbreakable bond. Providing care for others was Melinda's calling. In fact, it was Melinda's compassion for others that inspired Casey to chose a career in nursing. Donations made via this campaign will be used by Casey for expenses incurred for inurnment.
