Dear Friends and Hockey Community,
On Friday, February 9th, tragedy struck the Bowers family as they unexpectedly lost their beloved mother, Melinda Bowers. Melinda was more than just a mother; she was a beacon of love and support, especially when it came to her children’s passion for hockey.
Melinda could often be found at the rink, cheering on Mackenzie and Tanner with unwavering enthusiasm. Her love for the game and her children knew no bounds. She celebrated every good play, whether it was made by her children or their teammates. Her proudest moments were when Mackenzie and Tanner succeeded and, most importantly, when they were happy.
As a hockey community, we understand the profound impact a loss like this can have on a family, especially on young athletes like Mackenzie and Tanner. That’s why we, the Mississauga U15A team, are rallying together to support them during this incredibly difficult time.
We’re reaching out to our fellow hockey enthusiasts, friends, and community members to ask for your support. Any contribution you can make will go directly towards helping Mackenzie and Tanner as they navigate through the challenges ahead. From funeral expenses to ongoing support, every donation will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Let’s come together to honor Melinda’s memory and to show Mackenzie and Tanner that they are not alone. Your generosity and kindness will provide them with the strength and support they need as they embark on this journey of healing.
Thank you for standing with us in solidarity and for being a beacon of hope for the Bowers family during this incredibly difficult time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sandra Coreschi and the Mississauga U15A Team
