Melina's 10K Run

Heyyyy! My names Mel.

I recently decided to start running for personal gain reasons to help myself whilst doing this I realised I can do something more and raise funds for two charities that help women with Breast Cancer - I also would love to do something special for someone who has been affected by this illness.

I signed up for a 5K run & 17 Obstacle course to raise money towards these charities and cause. Raising money for two charities that aid with Breast Cancer support in the UK, one of which helps black women through their journey with this illness & a personal special cause.

Breast Cancer Now & Black Women Rising.

Having someone very dear to me being diagnosed with this illness recently i have decided to help raise some funds to charities that are actively helping fight this battle we call Breast Cancer.

Around 25% of black African women and 22% of black Caribbean women are diagnosed with stage 3 or stage 4 breast cancer at diagnosis in England. This compares to 13% of white women.

Being a black woman who has seen this affect other black women around me i want to help by running a 5K run & Obstacle course called MUD GIRL later this year in July 13th

i'd also love to be able to do something special for the woman in my life whose been affected by breast cancer.

Every single penny counts i am hoping to make a small change in the many lives around us by doing this run. Hope i have your support, love and care on this journey
