Hello!
My name is Meghan Colovos, and I am a film student at George Mason University. I am currently in my senior year, and as a senior film student - I will be completing my biggest project yet. This project is the senior film! In my junior year, I wrote and directed a short film called When The Rain Stopped. This film was featured in the George Mason Film Festival (2025) and will be featured at the Best of Film at Mason film festivals this fall (2025). I have also done some production work and all of the design work for this short, and it has been submitted to other festivals both in the U.S. and outside.
For my senior film, I will be making a 10 minute short film with themes of love, loss, and grief. I will be director, writer, co-producer, and production designer of this film. The title of this film is Meli (Μέλι), which is the Greek word for "Honey". It will be another experimental and stylistic project of mine. The Log Line of this film is as follows:
A dying young woman makes an unexpected connection with a man who has always played a small role in her life, and through this connection - he becomes her gateway to experiencing life's greatest joys before her time runs out.
I lost my aunt to cancer when I was a freshman in college, and I want to dedicate this film to her. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. My fundraising goal is pretty large due to funding I need for a specific location I have been eyeing to film at. Thank you so much for helping me bring this vision to life.
