Hi everyone,

My name is Dakotah, but I'm better known by my online username/tag Dusky. I'm the head TO for Spudfest where I've ran over 50 events in the past 2 and a half years, and I've helped run many other events too. I've worked on TMT, Level One Melee, Bristahood Brawl, SSSS, Domino Effect briefly, and when I lived in NorCal I helped run a few Bay Area Rumbles as well. Overall since starting to TO a few years ago, I've worked on 292 total events.

A couple of months ago I had lost my job at Walgreens after 8 years. I've attempted to file for unemployment, but I have yet to hear back from the state. I have also been job hunting to little effect. I've missed 2 months of payments towards the mortgage, but my roommates until now have been very understanding, and don't expect me to make up for what I haven't been able to pay. They are (understandably) no longer able or willing to cover for me. During all of this, an opportunity had risen for me to move to SoCal. With all of the money I had available to me, I prepped for this move. A couple of weeks later I heard back that moving in with that person was no longer an option, and all of the things I had purchased were non-refundable. As such, I am completely wiped out at the moment.

My roommates have decided to let me stay with them in spite of it all, but as a result of everything that's happened none of us are able to meet the mortgage/utility payments or afford groceries for this month. We need $1,500 to make all of the payments this month. If we miss a mortgage payment we risk foreclosure, in which case all of us would potentially end up homeless and lose the house.

I have job interviews lined up now, and should be employed again soon. This is a one time call for help from the community I love so much and hold so close to my heart. Any and all money raised will go towards the mortgage payment and groceries, and will be appreciated more than I can properly communicate. Thank you for your time and donations!
