In Loving Memory of Melchor " Sir Mel/ Ka Mel R. Viado

With deep sorrow and heartfelt love, we share the passing of Sir Mel Viado on July 11, 2025. Mel was more than a teacher — he was a mentor, a leader, a friend, and a shining light to so many.

I am one of the many people whose lives were inspired by Sir Mel. His cheerful spirit, kind heart, his intelligence and incredible sense of humor made him someone you couldn’t forget. Whether he was in the classroom, office, supporting a friend, or spending time with his family, Sir Mel led with love and lived with purpose.

He was a loving husband and devoted father, and his greatest legacy lives on through the people he cared for and the countless lives he touched. As a teacher and trainer, he didn’t just educate — he uplifted, encouraged, and brought out the best in others. He truly made a difference.

This fundraiser is a way for all of us — his friends, students, colleagues, and extended community — to come together and support Mel’s family during this difficult time. Donations will go toward helping them through the days ahead, and serve as a collective gesture of gratitude, respect, and love for all that Sir Mel gave to this world.
