Melba Barrera Salas Medical Expenses

Hello,

We have started this gofundme to help my aunt Melba, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and was advised by her doctor today, there are no further treatments available to assist her. Melba has been an Edinburg CISD teacher for the last 28 years and has touched the lives of many children and families in the Edinburg community but her fight with cancer is, unfortunately, coming to an end.

Her daughters Margot and Micaela are needing to provide her with hospice care, but they would like her to be in the comfort of their home where they can ensure she is taken care of and be with her loved ones.

Due to her illness, she has had to take an extensive amount of time off from work and has had to take early retirement since she no longer has any available sick leave or FMLA available. Because of her early retirement, she is left without health insurance that would assist in covering any medicine or medical bills.

We will continue to support and pray for her beloved family she will be leaving behind Margot (Daughter),Clyde (Son-in-law), and granddaughters Madison, Melany, Malayna and Micaela (Daughter, and Jason (Son-in-law).
