Hello there, my name is Justin.
I'm helping raise funds for my in-laws, Melba and Tim Swan.
Melba, Tim, and their two dogs, Luna and Raven, live at the Carver Trailer Court near the Clackamas River. During the recent rainstorm and subsequent flooding, the dam on the river was opened, and the entire trailer court was severely flooded (as you may have seen on the news last month).
Luckily, Tim and Melba's home was spared, but their backyard was completely flooded and devastated (see pictures); worse yet, all of their fencing was carried away.
Melba and Tim are both retired; Tim has advanced-stage Parkinson's disease, and Melba has issues with her knees and feet, collectively making it quite difficult to walk their two energetic young dogs (especially at night and in the winter). Because of this, they have been relying on the pet door I installed and their (formerly) fenced-in backyard for the dogs to get exercise and use the potty. Due to the flooding, they can no longer let the dogs out of the pet door. This has been understandably problematic.
They need a fence as soon as possible! There is a state assistance program that is going to help me with the installation, but we need to buy the materials. Estimates are around the $2000+ range for a chain fence. We may be able to fashion a wood and nylon fence for $1000-1500 if we're not able to raise that much.
If you can help in any small or large way, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you and God bless!!!!
