MELANIE SWEENEY, STAGE (4 ) CANCER

Please allow me to introduce you to Melanie.
She is a sweet, strong, loving, independent, single parent and registered nurse, who has just been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma non-small cell STAGE 4 LUNG CANCER.
Melanie went into the hospital two weeks ago with shortness of breath, with the worries of pneumonia, only to hear the results that no person can bear to hear, you have cancer!
The hardest part is asking for help...
Melanie has spent many years in school getting accreditations in the medical field, while working and raising a family all on her own. She is a single mother of two, still currently caring solely for the younger of her two children. Finally getting to a point in her life where she can feel somewhat comfortable financially, last year she took out a mortgage for her very first home!
Forced to be strong, independent, and a caretaker from a young age, Melanie is no stranger to struggling (she has spent her entire life doing so), and is trying to refuse any financial assistance or help. For an example of her personality, the doctor just gave her an excuse from working, indefinitely, allowing her to apply for a government assisted income, and she didn’t want the excuse, begging him to re-write her one for just one month, because as she explained, she needed to go back to work to take care of her family. Admireable, but unbelievable. And just shortly after hearing all of the news as a family, her first reaction to us was, "guys please don't make a huge deal out of this, don't post anything on Facebook, and please don't ask anybody for anything". She's humble, she doesn't want to be a burden on anybody's shoulders, not remembering all of the times that she stepped up to help others in need, and how good it makes one feel to be able to be there for somebody else, even it being the smallest contribution.
So here is where WE step in...
Her employer is not offering any disability, and she has no other means of income. We do not want her spending her days worrying about where the next dollar is coming from, so against her stubborn will, TOGETHER WE ARE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF HER! TOGETHER WE CAN HELP!! The medical bills for hospital stays, her chemotherapy and other treatments, medical supplies, and specialty doctors, are about to start pouring in, and this is on top of her existing new mortgage and regular monthly bills. So friends please, let’s come together and raise some money to help lessen the burden that she has to face! Any donation, no matter the dollar amount, is highly appreciated! Even if you’re unable to donate at this time, please share this with your friends and loved ones, and add her and our family to your prayers!
