Hello friends and family,

My name is Mavis, I am the younger sister of Melanie James and with a sad heart, I am sad to announce the passing of sweet Melanie.

Melanie was a sweet soul with a big family, always spending time with her nieces and nephews and enjoying the company of her friends and community.

An avid movie-goer, she had always loved to sit down and unwind with her family watching the next big blockbuster that turned into great memories looking back now. Raised in Oakland she loved to support her teams, always taking a chance to gather with friends to watch the Oakland Raiders and Golden State Warriors play.

Our sister, cousin, and friend but most importantly our Auntie will be forever missed. The movies, shows, and music she had shared with us all, will be memories that will never be forgotten.

We love you Mel.
