"Melanie Hill-Rutherford" BCI 5K Runs
Donation protected
Melanie Hill-Rutherford - Breast Cancer Ireland - 5K runs at 10 WNL and U19 League of Ireland women's football matches to raise money for BCI and raise breast cancer awareness.
My 5k run fundraiser is in memory of my late wife Melanie (Mel, a native of Ballincollig, Cork). The funds are being raised for my chosen charity "Breast Cancer Ireland" (BCI) and at the same time I aim to raise Breast Cancer awareness across Ireland and afar, by completing 5k runs on the pitch before 10 selected Irish Women's National League and Girls u19s matches.
I'm hoping the awareness raised may assist to be proactive against breast cancer, and the funds raised with your support will help with the continuous research and much needed cure for breast cancer.
Mel's legacy lives on in our 4 young children Naoise, Holly, Eabha and Rian. My fund raiser may prevent even one family, from going through the pain of their loved ones life taken away by this disease.
My first 5k run will be at the Women's National League match between Shelbourne and DLR waves at Tolka Park, Sat 2nd Oct, 5pm k.o (Live on TG4).
Thanks so much for your support.
