Melanie Cortes-Pascua's Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Debbie and I am fundraising for Melanie Cortes-Pascua's memorial services. It is with a heavy heart that on behalf of Melanie's children: Shane, Mia, Kara, Jessie, and Gabriel, I am creating this GoFundMe. Melanie unexpectedly passed on Friday, January 20th, after a brief but swift illness. She was surrounded by loved ones, namely her children and died peacefully, knowing how loved and cherished she was.

Melanie was an energetic spirit, full of wonder, creativity, silliness, and beauty. She was a proud Angeleno, spending most of her life in the South Bay. She had a love of music, the sky, clouds, bright colors, and her Spanish heritage. She was an adventurer with a youthful sense of humor and a zest for life. She had an infectious laugh and was known for sharing some of the silliest Memes and Reels (we will miss those).

Melanie's greatest accomplishment was being a mother to 5 amazingly beautiful, artistic, and adoring children. Each of whom is undeniably the product of all the eclectic and amazing qualities that made Melanie so interesting, exciting, and fun.

Unfortunately, due to the sudden onset and aggressive nature of her illness, there was no time or ability to make plans for her passing. In the aftermath, and through unimaginable grief, her children are left to make final arrangements for their mother and have little resources with which to do so. With that, I hope to lessen their burden and my request is for anyone who may have been touched by Melanie, please contribute and share this fundraiser so that we can ensure that her memorial celebrates her life to the fullest extent possible.
