Hello all, thank you for taking the time to read this. One of my dearest friends, Melanie Raffield has experienced one of the scariest things a parent can: a sick child. Her four-year-old daughter, Marysol, was experiencing excruciating headaches and so on January 23rd Melanie took her to the hospital. After many tests and scans they discovered a large plum sized mass pressing on Marysol's brainstem causing spinal fluid blockage and swelling. She was admitted in Boston's Children Hospital and spent hours in surgery the next day. The team at Boston's was able to remove the completely and now Marysol has a long road to recovery. They expect her to make a full recovery, but that makes this experience no less hard or terrifying. I am asking for donations to help Melanie through this time while she cares for her little girl. She should not have to worry about anything money related as she figures out the road ahead to take care of her daughter.

Some background information: Marysol is the sweetest, funniest four-year-old girl and has some of the BEST manners I've ever experienced in a child. She is thoughtful and bright, and so, so happy. Her mother is a hardworking, independent mother who gives Marysol her everything and always has. They relocated to the Boston area over a year ago and have been flourishing in their new space. Marysol's father Juan was also able to move nearby, so he could continue his relationship with his sweet daughter. This little family is experiencing so much and if you could help, in anyway, that would mean so much to them. Melanie is not the type of person to ask for help, so I bullied her into this and said "I'm doing it. Your focus should be Marysol and not the million other things going on".
