Hello my name is Duncan Paterson and a friend of mine Mel Deveau and his wife Linda who live on the 340 just outside of Weymouth Nova Scotia had a devastating fire in the very early hours of Jan 18th 2026 and have lost everything. Unfortunately Mel and Linda did not have house or contents insurance. If you or anyone you know can help financially it would be greatly appreciated.

This fund has been set up to help ease some of that financial burden and give them the space to live without added worry. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting the family as they take the difficult steps forward in the coming weeks and months.
