Dear Family, Rodeo Family and Friends of Mel:
Our heroes have always been cowboys! But
sometimes our heroes need a helping hand.
Sometimes the gold and silver buckles just
aren’t enough.
Mel Hyland has been many a young rodeo
hands hero. To the Hyland family he is a son,
nephew, brother, husband, dad, uncle, and
cousin that we are so proud of.
Today, he needs our help.
Mel suffered a massive heart attack on
October 6, 2020, in an arena doing what he
loves - working with horses. He is not out of
the woods - yet, but we are all praying! We
expect his recovery to take some time. It will
be a while before he can sit in the saddle again.
On behalf of his wife, Marjie, and his
immediate family we ask that friends and
family help one of Canada’s rodeo legends out financially. We know times are tough right
now, but anything will help. And in Marjie’s
own words, “even a hug helps” and your
prayers are very much needed too.
On behalf of Mel, Marjie and family, we
sincerely thank you for any support you can
offer.
Lori (Hyland) Rock - Mel’s cousin
