Mel Banks needs our help!

Melyssa was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year and after surgery has been fighting the disease with almost 10 rounds of chemo plus more to come, along with radiation. In order to give herself the best fighting chance Mel quit her job. Unfortunately the bills don't stop coming because you have cancer. Mel doesn't want to accept any charity. She's a proud mother, wife and community member and I think she needs a little help and encouragement to get her thru the last part of her treatment.

Melyssa has devoted her time to our community volunteering on many committees over the past 20 years. She is currently the President of the Mathoura Football Netball club and maintains her role, not using her illness to get out of meetings or GameDay roles.

Mel is currently in hospital as she has spiked a temp and needs antibiotics to kill whatever infection she has, and needs a little cheering up. Cancer doesn't only affect the person with the disease, it has a snowball effect on the whole family, who then need to take time from their jobs to be with Mel.
