Help us support young women in Cornwall
3 peaks in 24 hours! This challenge is coming soon, we are starting on the 1st June at 8am, with the aim of finishing at 8am on 2nd June!
Anyone who knows us, knows that we love being in the big outdoors, but this year, we've taken on a hell of a challenge, with the aim of raising as much as we can in aid of Georgia's Voice.
It's our aim to traverse the 3 highest peaks in the UK, starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and finishing up with Snowdon in Wales, in just 24 hours. The total walking distance will be 23 miles, with a total ascent of 10,052 feet, and a driving distance of 462 miles.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in 18-29-year-olds, Georgia's Voice aims to reduce this number by highlighting the warning signs, and with early intervention including, building a support network, promoting wellness, and referrals to appropriate therapies. Georgia's Voice provides free, friendly, safe spaces for young women to talk, listen, or just be. Working together to ensure every young woman in Cornwall feels safe, understood, supported and empowered.
But, they need help, and that's where you come in! With £10, they can provide refreshments for a group session, £30 can cover the costs for a venue for a support session, and £90 can provide a block of therapy for one of their members.
Which is why we decided this year, to set outselves this challenge, and raise as much as we can, to help support the young women in our community.
Thank you for your help!
