My name is Mekkel and I want to go to China, but I need your help!

I’m an 8th grader and I’ve been learning Chinese for a few years now. I am one of the 18 students from Wesley International Academy who were chosen to travel to China at the end of May in 2016 and I’m so excited. Chinese is my favorite language and it’s way more different than speaking English.

But trips to China aren’t cheap. My aunt and school are doing their best to help raise the funds for us that we need, but I feel like I can help. So I made this page and will be actively campaigning on social networks to help meet the goal necessary. That’s where I need your help.

This is a once in a lifetime chance and I promise to make you proud by helping me get to China. When I return from my 4-week trip, I’ll share my adventures with my friends and family and teach them about the different cultures that I learned from and experienced. And I’ll keep learning the language so that one day I speak it as well as I speak English.
