Me'Kala James Journey to Fargo Nationals- Defending Champ

The 2025 USA Wrestling Junior and 16U National Championships will be held at the FARGODOME in Fargo, North Dakota, from July 12-19.

Me'Kala is such an amazing athlete!

Last year, she went from a 17 seed to Fargo Champion!

She has worked so hard, and it shows. I mean, she was named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare on July 16, 2024 (no big deal at all! just kidding, we are so proud of her!).

While her talent is immense, the expenses associated with her competition can quickly add up. Her mom (Bianca) is one of the hardest-working paraprofessionals to work in our classrooms. She is always working to provide and make sure that Me'Kala has everything she needs to get to her tournaments and is always willing to go the extra mile by selling and fundraising as much as she can to take care of Me'Kala and give her those well-deserved opportunities.

We are so proud of our girl, but we were heartbroken to find out her mom, Bianca (her biggest supporter), wasn't able to join her last year when she won her Fargo Championship at Nationals last year due to not having the resources to attend. Every sports parent deserves to be there for their child, especially at Nationals, where the best of the country go to compete.

This GoFundMe is to raise the funds to cover her costs to make this trip and defend her title, and ensure her mom is able to attend with her this year. We want to make sure her mom, Bianca, is there for her to not only cheer her on but also experience this with her. Your support will help cover travel, lodging, training camps, registration fees, and other expenses for this national competition.

They have both worked so hard, and Me'Kala deserves to attend this trip with her mom without having to worry about the cost of her trip.
