Send the Gantt's Car to Haiti

Hello friends!

The first month in Haiti has been a time full of seeking God's direction and wisdom, finding open doors and taking them, as well as facing inevitable opposition. Iwillgo praises God for how He has provided for and led the Gantt family. During this initial time in Haiti, the Gantt's feel that God had confirmed that they are to be in Haiti for the long-term. As a result, there are some necessary practical provisions that will make that possible.

The most immediate need for the Gantts is reliable and safe transportation. At the moment, Ron and Brooke have relied upon traveling as a family by moto. In order to go to town, all four of them climb onto a moto that they rent and travel together or go by a tap-tap which is public transportation in which you hit on the side of the truck when you need off.

This has worked for the time being, providing a way to travel and get errands done. However, it does not work as a long-term solution for transportation. For instance, any packages that are brought from in town also must fit on the already crowded moto. Also, Haiti is known as having some of the most dangerous traffic in the world. Traveling by car is a much safer way of getting around than by moto. Needless to say, for safety and practicality reasons, a car would be a much more reliable and workable option.

Ron and Brooke originally planned on bringing the car to Haiti with them in January but did not want to move ahead of how God was leading. Now that they have more confirmation that they will be in Haiti for a longer time, the car is a necessity. Thus, there are both transportation fees and customs fees associated with transporting the car to Haiti, which we are asking for your help with. By donating to the fund and enabling the Gantts to import the car, you are helping to further establish them in Haiti, create space for more time given to the ministry they have been called to, and provide a safer means of transportation.

In addition to the immediate need of a car, there are small amenities that would be a blessing to the Gantts. Should you find that God lays it on your heart to help them to cover any of the needs below, visit the WISH LIST BELOW.     i.e. A cooler is needed because it takes about 1.5-2 hrs or more to get to a store, therefore, it helps with refrigeration.  The cooking appliances are needed in order to not use the Haitian way of coal which has caused deforestation. This will allow them to use a generator/solar power until they get a stove.  Baby food is because Abigail is struggling to eat protein and veggies but will eat  them in  baby food form which cost 3$ for one in Haiti. The light is for driving at night there are no street lights.  The furniture items or storage are more cost affective to get in the states and ship inside the car as well as food items, tuna is $4 a can. Just to give you an idea.

Ultimately, the main priority is the car, and the "wish list" are simply ways to bless the Gantts even further! The supplies will be packed in the car when it is shipped to the island.

Thank you for your support and your prayers as Ron and Brooke follow God's leading for them on mission in Haiti.
