Mehlia’s Send Off

Hi, my name is Deborah. It’s with a broken and heavy heart that I am needing to go this direction. One of my babies, who is a triplet (Mehlia,20years old) who has been stricken with Rett Syndrome has been very ill. She’s never talked nor walked and been wheelchair bound since birth. Mehlia was hospitalized as I was going through cancer surgeries myself. She has been fighting bouts with pneumonia and other infections and was hospitalized in June. When she wasn’t getting any better, she was transferred to a long term care hospital and hour from home in July. We had hopes that she would be well again to be released but she just kept on getting more infections. Mehlia is a fighter, we had been hopeful that she would pushed through again and be sent home. We have had her on multiple prayer lines and keeping the faith the the Lord would not take her from us because it would be too soon, and we weren’t ready to let go. After fighting for 3 months, she passed. I am lost! Feeling bewildered and broken-hearted !
