Hi, I’m Megs and I’m funding for facial feminisation surgery (FFS). FFS is expensive with personalised quotes ranging between £20,000 and £30,000.

FFS is not available on the public health service (NHS). As a trans person, FFS would help me to feel comfortable in my own skin and to lessen the dysphoria that I experience on a daily basis. It is the final stage in my transition journey - having been out since 2015 and having been on hormones since 2018.

I am 26, a self-made woman, and come from a working class background. I am financially independent and work full-time, despite living with a range of debilitating chronic and mental health conditions, including chronic fatigue.

Even while working full-time, it would take me many years to save £20,000-£30,000, which is not feasible when most clinics want the money upfront and do not offer payment plans.

Because of these factors, I am turning to crowd funding to hopefully fund part of my facial feminisation surgery, while the remainder will be self funded. FFS quotes include the cost of surgery, hospital care, anaesthesia, medicine, accommodation, travel, and subsistence.
