My name is Meghna Patel and I've been selected to go to the 26th World Scout Jamboree. I have been in scouting for over 4 years and have successfully achieved my Chief Scout Gold Award. I volunteer as a Young Leader at Strathmore Scout Group every Thursday for the Beavers section.
Every 4 years, Scouts aged 14-17 from all across the world meet at one place and this time it's Poland! This is the only opportunity I will ever get to participate as an Explorer in my lifetime! To make this dream a reality I need to self-fund £3,500 to cover travel, kit, accommodation, and participation costs. A proportion of the money raised will also go to pay for less fortunate scouts from around the world to attend.
Why WSJ? Well, the World Scout Jamboree will give me the chance to make new friends all across the world that could last for a lifetime! I will learn about different cultures, traditions and the way scouting works for others and the best part of it all, is the lifelong memories I will never forget!
To raise the money:
I'm going to be taking part in lots of group events which will include bag-packing at supermarkets.
Running stalls at community fayres.
I also have an EasyFundraising page which is free to sign up to. It’s really simple, whenever you make an online shop, the retailer would give a small percentage of the cost to my cause.

My charity number is: 300480 (Bedfordshire County Scout Council)
A huge thank you for taking the time to read this and view my page. I really do appreciate you for helping me make this possible and help achieve great memories that are yet to come!
If you would like to donate, I would be hugely grateful! Every bit truly counts!
