Hello sweet family and friends, I’m Meg and it’s been my lifelong dream to run a nonprofit Dog Bus that picks up dogs around my town and takes them on adventures for the day. I have loved dogs my whole life and have always had the dream to foster and have a dog bus to help allow the fosters to enjoy their lives more. I have raised ten dogs in my lifetime and plan to raise many more.

I also recognize there are families who cannot afford dog sitters or dog walkers in the current economic situation, so it’s my goal to pick up dogs from families who may normally not be able to afford it. Think single mothers who work and may not be able to come home at lunch break to let their dogs out. Or elderly people who may not be able to walk their dogs anymore.

I want to offer these play dates to sheltered dogs or fosters who may not get out much. Normally these services would cost $20 per dog, we will charge $0. I am documenting this journey to get a Dog Bus on social media so you can be part of the entire process.

Please look for Meghasfaith on YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. With your help I will find the bus, name the bus, get it serviced, pick out decor and colors, and introduce you to the dogs that will be riding along, taking your ideas and suggestions along the way.

I am planning on registering as a nonprofit and funding this project strictly with earnings from content creation and your generosity. We will not charge the families for anything.

Budget will be:

Bus: 15-18k

Gas and Oil: 1k per month

Maintenance: Not sure yet

Land rental: 1k per month

Harnesses and Decor: $500

Toys and Treats: $500

I work full time and will be pouring my own money into this project as well. I believe I will have the first $2,000 to get it started. I am setting the goal at $19,000 to cover these expenses, but anything is a blessing. If for some reason we go over this amount, the extra funds would go to operating the bus twice to three times a week. I will probably start out once a week to work out the kinks. Then up it to twice a week and hopefully get to three times a week in full operation. We have decent rain here in Texas so weather would play into what days we can go out.
